Atomic Trader
An automated equities engine that trades options and shares, with a dashboard that shows every position, lane and result as it happens.
About
Overview
Atomic Trader is an automated equities engine that trades options and shares. Through each session it watches a list of stocks, opens a position when a strategy's conditions are met, and manages it to a target, a stop or a dated exit, with no orders placed by hand.
Strategies run as separate lanes, each with its own vehicle, position cap and record. A lane can trade for real or run in shadow, where every signal is followed to its outcome without an order, so a strategy is measured before it is given capital.
The dashboard is read-only. It shows equity marked to market, open positions with their targets and stops, the week's earnings dates and deadlines, a live map of money moving between market sectors, performance by period and lane, and replays that step the engine through past sessions.
The engine and its API are written in Python with FastAPI, the dashboard in Next.js, and trade history is kept in PostgreSQL. It runs on the company's own servers, with a paper account and a live account as separate instances side by side.

What makes it work
Strategies run as lanes
Each strategy is its own lane, with its own vehicle, position cap and record. A lane trades for real or runs in shadow, where signals are followed to their outcome without orders.
Every position has a plan
A target, a stop and a dated exit are set when a position opens. The engine manages it to one of them, and the dashboard shows all three beside the live mark.
Where the money is going
A live map of the market's sectors: price change today on one axis, money flowing in or out on the other, with the book's own holdings counted on each sector.
Replays over past sessions
Replays step the same engine through past sessions, with a sim clock, an equity curve and every entry and exit, so a change is checked before it trades.
