About

Overview

Bakery HQ is a web app for microbakeries: cottage and farmers-market bakers who sell a weekly menu. It replaces the spreadsheet many of them run on with one workspace for recipes, the week's bake plan, packaging stock, shopping and market takings.

Bakery HQ stores recipes as baker's percentages and scales them by loaf count, bags of flour or grams, recalculating hydration and dough weight as the baker types. Its bake planner turns the week's quantities into projected revenue, profit after helper costs and the flour the bake needs. Packaging shows weeks of cover and what to reorder, and the money tracker totals each market week across payment channels.

Bakery HQ is built with Next.js, React and PostgreSQL, with email sign-in and a separate workspace for each bakery. Its data saves automatically and exports to a JSON backup at any time. The app is in development, with public sign-up coming soon.

Highlights

What makes it work

Recipe scaler by baker's percentage

Formulas are stored as percentages of flour, so any recipe scales by loaves, bags of flour or grams, with hydration and dough weight updating live.

Weekly bake plan with costs

Set this week's quantities to see projected revenue, profit after helper costs and how many bags of flour the bake needs.

Packaging stock by run-rate

Bags, labels and boxes are tracked by weekly use, with weeks of cover, low-stock flags and how much to order to reach the restock target.

Your data stays portable

Each bakery's data saves automatically and exports to a single JSON backup that imports back in one step.
